Roles and Responsibilities
RPA Developer / RPA Technical Lead
The developer or RPA Technical Lead is responsible for the technical development and preparation of the service release.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing the application code.
- Following the Python and Docker best practices adopted by the RPA team.
- Maintaining the Docker Compose files required by the project.
- Testing the service locally.
- Building and publishing Docker images through CI or, when necessary, manually.
- Preparing environment-specific configuration.
- Storing sensitive configuration securely in Bitwarden.
- Opening the appropriate DevOps ticket when required.
- Performing post-release validation.
- Updating the Move to Prod tracking file after the release is completed.
DevOps Team
The DevOps team is responsible for infrastructure-related activities on remote machines.
Depending on the release scenario, responsibilities may include:
- Processing delivery or update requests.
- Retrieving the required Docker Compose and configuration.
- Installing or updating services on the target VM.
- Configuring requested DNS entries.
- Managing external files required by the service.
- Verifying that the service is correctly started.
- Supporting troubleshooting when the automated deployment process fails.
RPA Team
The RPA team owns the overall development and release process.
Responsibilities include:
- Defining technical standards.
- Maintaining common conventions.
- Ensuring release traceability.
- Maintaining shared operational information.
- Defining supported environments and deployment practices.
